Things to know

Held between July 5th - September 23rd at Tokyo's Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall, the ART AQUARIUM exhibition will host the largest ever collection of Kingyo (goldfish), with around 10,000 of them on display as part of fantastic famous artworks. This years exhibition has an Edo Period theme to it, as watching kingyo (goldfish) was a past time for people back then where it rooted itself into the common people's culture. With gigantic beautifully shaped fish bowls filled with thousands of kingyo, an almost magical and psychedelic atmosphere is created leaving you feeling like your in a different dimension, whilst appreciating the beauty of the art work adorned with the goldfish. The exhibition also host a night aquarium too, with live performances from hot DJ's and even dance performances by young Geisha from Gion in Kyoto, alcohol also being served while you enjoy the music and art, giving another exciting side to this unique event.
