This event is all about Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), an influential artist who continues to influence the world to this day despite passing away 80 years ago! Famous for being the defining element to Art Nouveau, Much was most famous for his "magic of lines" style of art in his works. His intricate and beautiful works have gone on to charm and inspire many artists and this even commemorates this. With around 250 different works on display, containing some of his most influential and famous works, and their influence in particular on Japanese manga artists in the 1960's and 1970's. Learn about Mucha's origins and legacy my looking through his works of excellence and their rich history, also enjoy the opportunity to see his drawings, book illustrations and designs etc too at this special event. © PIA Corporation.
