Things to know

Woolly mammoths, one of the greatest species to walk this earth and are believed to have gone extinct around 10,000 years ago. However, with global warming on the rise, there have been many bodies of woolly mammoths discovered beneath frozen soil in the Sakha Republic, Russia. The skeletons of these mammoths are extremely well preserved and lifelike due to being maintained in the permafrost soil, giving you a good perspective of the size of these creatures. Japan presented the first discovered head of a woolly mammoth at the 2005 Expo. Japan will now make the world’s first public debut of never before seen woolly mammoth specimen and many more rediscovered animals.
