概要
The Setouchi Triennale (also known as the Setouchi International Art Festival) is a contemporary art festival held every three years on a dozen islands in the Seto Inland Sea (Setonaikai), the sea which separates Honshu and Shikoku, two of Japan's main islands. Themed around the restoration of the area to help revitalize the many island communities there whilst celebrating the beautiful scenery of the area and transform it into a "Sea of Hope". The key concepts to the festival which consist around some of the following; celebrating art and architecture, along with local community culture and history made it a significantly important festival in order breathe some new life and energy into the small region. © PIA Corporation.
