Gogendo Tsutsumi became a spot for viewing cherry blossoms in the Kanto region (East of Japan) in 1920, when 3,000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees were planted along a 6 kilometers path. At present, many people enjoying cherry blossoms come here every year in the spring as a nationwide spot for viewing cherry blossoms. The contrast between the pale pink and yellow that the rows of cherry trees and the rape fields spreading around them bring together delight the eyes of visitors.
