The Haruna Jinja Shrine which can be found in Gunma prefecture has a long history, having been used as a place of worship for some 1400 years. Enshrining mountain gods, it is built amidst pronounced rock formations. Visitors can expect to be faced with a large number of stairs in climbing to the shrine.
