Hijiyama Koen Park
Hijiyama Koen Park is located at the top of a small hill that overlooks Hiroshima City and the Seto Inland Sea. The park is famous for its cherry blossoms; in spring, around 1,300 cherry trees bloom in and around the park, attracting visitors from all over the country.
Also inside the park is the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, which was inspired by traditional Japanese warehouse buildings, as well as the Hiroshima City Manga Library, where visitors can enjoy learning about the history of manga. The park is also well known for its art, as it houses a number of sculptures placed around the grounds. Hijiyama Koen Park is also famous as a nighttime scenery spot, and visitors can enjoy the sunset and evening view from the park after spending their day at the art museum.
※Please note that there is some distance between each of the park’s facilities.
※The parking area can be used from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
