Kofukuji Temple is registered as a World Heritage site as part of the “cultural properties of Ancient Nara.” It is one of the must-see temples. You can reach it by walking from the station, and the five-storied pagoda will soon come into sight. It is a place with plenty of green in the surroundings and a very nice atmosphere. There are many buildings in the spacious grounds, most of which are national treasures and important cultural assets. Deer walk freely in the grounds.
