Takamuro Suikoen Park
Takamuro Suikoen Park is a lodging facility surrounded by mountains and agricultural land in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture. Not only for staying overnight, though, visitors can also use the park for daytime sightseeing, with food, onsen, and walks around the garden available for enjoyment. Within the vast premises, beautiful nature and re-creations of nostalgic living spaces can be found, along with a large pond where fishing is allowed. After indulging in a walk around the park, visitors can soothe their fatigue at the sauna or the large public bath, Toron Onsen. Don't forget to enjoy Tono's gourmet foods at the dining hall, where jingisukan (Genghis Khan), local cuisine, soft serve ice cream made with doburoku sake liquor, and other Tono specialties are available.
