What we'll do

One of the well-known places in Aomori prefecture is Hachinohe city.
On this tour, we'll first head to Tanesashi Kaigan Coast, a wide-open space with a natural lawn that spreads all the way to the beach, where you'll be able to savor the feeling of openness.
After that, we'll make a stop at the Hachinohe Sake Brewery where you can learn firsthand how Japanese rice wine is made. The driver won't be able to try any of the sake, of course, so don't forget to buy yourself a souvenir.
Lastly, we'll visit the Misawa Aviation Science Museum for an observation. If you like, we can also take part in one of the limited monthly events.

Meeting Place

We can meet here, at the TOYOTA Rent a Car Shin-Aomori Station West Exit Shop.
The shop is 1-minute walk from JR Hachinohe Station East Exit.
The type of car we rent and the rental fee will depend on the number of people participating in the tour.

  1. 1
    Tanesashi Kaigan Coast

The Tanesashi Kaigan Coast is an area of picturesque scenery located in the northern part of the Sanriku Fukko National Park. The Sanriku Fukko National Park was established in May of 2013 with the goal of contributing to the reconstruction of the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Stretching out ten kilometers from Kabushima Island of Same-machi, Hachinohe City, all the way to the southeastern Ookuki area of Hachinohe City, Tanesashi Kaigan Coast is a designated coastal area split into four distinct areas: Kabushima, Ashigezaki/Oosuka, Shibafuchi, and Ookuki.

  2. 2
    Hachinohe Sake Brewery

Hachinohe Sake Brewery is notable for its elegant Taisho-era building, which combines a brick building and a Japanese house. The building is designated by Hachinohe as an Important Scenic Building and also as a National Tangible Cultural Property. All the rice used to make Hachinohe Shuzo Sake Brewery’s local sake is grown in Aomori Prefecture. Other raw materials used primarily originate from Aomori, for example, and the famed water of the Kanisawa District.

  3. 3
    Aomori Misawa Aviation Science Museum

The Misawa Aviation and Science Museum is an aviation museum in Aomori prefecture that has a total floor space of 10,890 square meters and is proudly the greatest in scale in Japan. In the aviation zone, you can find Miss Veedol (restored aircraft) that took off from Misawa City and was the first in the world to traverse the Pacific Ocean, the first generation domestically produced passenger plane, YS-11 (actual aircraft), and the Koken long-range research plane (restored aircraft). In the Science zone, there is the "Lunar Gravity Simulator" and the "Flight Simulator."
