About the WOW U-mediator leading this tour

What we'll do

Oga City is surrounded on three sides by the Sea of Japan and has an abundance of natural beauty. In fact, it is said that the beautiful scenery extending from the mountains all the way to the coast is the allure of Oga.
Without a doubt, the best way to fully appreciate this beautiful scenery is to rent a car and take a leisurely drive down the coastline stretching from the western coast of Oga to the Nyudozaki Peninsula.
The local museum exhibits "namahage," folklore demons of the Oga Peninsula. The namahage are registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, and the museum is well worth a visit.
On top of that, the aquarium and the view from the Nyudozaki Peninsula make for an unforgettable driving tour!

With easily recognizable black and white stripes, Nyudosaki Lighthouse has become a symbol of the Oga Peninsula's cape. Powerful, and at an extremely photogenic location, it has enjoyed an increase in interest for the stunning photography that is possible at this location.
