From March to April, Tokyo is dyed pink from cherry blossoms. From Tokyo Tower, you'll have an unbroken view of the cityscape, and if you're lucky, you might be able to see the different colors of the season. Ueno Koen Park boasts over 800 cherry trees, and here you'll be able to enjoy the cherry blossom scenery as well as a multitude of food stalls. Appealing not only for the blossoms, there are a variety of delicious foods and alcohols at the food stalls available only during this season. At the Chidorigafuchi Moat, you can experience viewing the illuminated cherry blossoms that line the river from a boat. A different feel from cherry blossoms seen during the day, this is an excellent place to spend a romantic evening.

経路

  1. 1
    Tokyo Tower

The Tokyo Tower is a radio tower near Shiba Park in Tokyo, Japan. Constructed in 1958, it has become a symbol of Tokyo. The Tokyo Tower has a height of 333m and is one of the tallest self-standing steel constructions in the world. It was modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris but is actually 13m taller than the original. It used to be Japan's tallest building until it was overtaken by the Tokyo Skytree in 2012. Nonetheless, the two observation decks at the tower are still among the most popular in Tokyo and offer a great view of the city. On particularly clear days you may be able to see Mt. Fuji in the distance.

  2. 2
    Ueno Koen Park

Ueno Park or Ueno Koen is a major park in Tokyo, Japan. Conveniently nearby to Ueno station, it is particularly famous for its many museums and the Ueno Zoo. During the springtime, it becomes quite a popular location for cherry blossom viewing. Ueno Park is home to the Tokyo National Museum, National Science Museum, the National Museum for Western Art and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. It is also a nice place to go for walks.

  3. 3
    Chidorigafuchi Moat

Chidorigafuchi Moat is a moat located North-West of the Imperial Palace and is a beautiful place to visit all year round, with the cherry blossom being the most popular season. During the cherry blossom season (late March to early April), the entire moat is a lavish pink paradise of scenic paths. The magic doesn't stop at night either, as the trees are lit up during the night creating a special romantic atmosphere across the moat and surrounding pathways. Paddle boats are also available to rent to explore the moat and get a more personal look at the Imperial Palace and surrounding foliage.
