Sendai City of Miyagi Prefecture is a beautiful city surrounded by greenery, and a popular tourist destination. It is recommended for those who are interested in Japanese industry and culture, as you can take a look at local companies that support local culture and Japanese industry. You can also visit Kanezaki's Sasakamakan and Kirin Brewery factories, which are also popular domestically. In addition, the Sendai City Science Museum can be enjoyed by both children and adults as a place to learn while having fun. Finally, head to Zuihoden to take a few pictures of this gorgeous national treasure.

    Kanezaki Kamaboko Museum

    Kanezaki Kamaboko Museum located in the city of Sendai in Miyagi prefecture, is a free entry museum where you can learn and make first hand your own Kamaboko, which is a type of is a type of cured surimi, a processed seafood product that is commonly found in Japanese cuisine, like soups and noodle dishes etc. It is made with a variety of white fish that has been steamed and cooked until firm. Learn about the history and then take a tour of the kamaboko factory before making your own to try!

    Kirin Beer Sendai Brewery

    Kirin Beer Sendai Brewery is a must-do for any beer lover out there. Located in the city of Sendai in Miyagi prefecture, take a tour around this leading alcohol company`s Sendai brewery and learn the secrets behind its great taste. Firstly, see what the malt and hops which go into the beer look like and taste like before finishing of your tour with a freshly pulled cold one! Please note that age verification is required in Japan for the consumption of alcohol, you must legally be 20 years old to consume alcohol.

    3M Sendai City Science Museum

    3M Sendai City Science Museum, which is located in Miyagi Prefecture, is a public science museum. The facility takes an initiative in providing interactive displays relating to science and engineering with the hope of fostering interest in S.T.E.M. The museum even goes a step further by offering experimental laborites. In addition, fossils found in the Prefecture are on display in their Earth Science section. There are also outdoor areas to explore, including a rock garden and a nature observation path with local plants and forest. The 3M Sendai City Science Museum makes a real effort to ensure that everyone visiting, including children, enjoy their stay.

    Zuihoden Mausoleum

    The Zuihoden Mausoleum was erected in honor of Date Masamune and his heirs who ruled over the Sendai Domain in the Edo period (1600-1867). Today, the area is called Miyagi Prefecture. The Zuihoden Mausoleum is built in a beautiful historical style called Momoyama, but it was destroyed in World War Two and had to be rebuilt. In addition to the Zuihoden Mausoleum, there are two more mausoleums dedicated to Date Masamune's heirs, a family graveyard and a small museum to be found on the site.
