Touch the History of Sake Production
Blessed with cool weather and sweet tasty water, Saijo has long prospered as the town of sake production. Sakagura-Dori, or the area around Saijo Station, is lined with traditional brewery buildings adorned with white walls or lattice-patterned "namako" walls. Stroll along the street of Saijo, one of the three greatest Sake Production areas in Japan, dropping into breweries to enjoy tasting.
Things you need to know before the tour
※20 years old and over.
※If you want to enjoy lunch in Saijo, your guide will recommend some restaurants.
Lunch expenses are not included in the tour fee.
Fukubijin sake brewery
At first I will take you to a Fukubijin sake brewery.
The feature of this liquor is that it has a plump taste and does not tire the sharpness of the mouth.
Kirei sake brewery
Second, I will take you to a Kirei sake brewery.
There are many soft sweet sakes in Hiroshima Prefecture, but the sake here is “clean and dry”.
Saijotsuru sake brewery
Third, I will take you to a Saijotsuru sake brewery.
It brew sake with the famous water "Tempoisui" since its foundation.
