This is a recommended Japanese garden called koishikawa-kourakuen located next to the Tokyo Dome in central Tokyo. This garden was built initially by Tokugawa branch family about 400 years ago. The garden was enhanced and affected by the advice of Chinese Confucian scholar, Zhu Zhiyu. The garden is characterized by its unique design concept for hospitality. Let's travel back in time to the park of 400 years ago where Tokugawa branch family hosted. I will introduce the impressive spots of this garden. Please enjoy the garden as if you were a member of samurai officials or court nobles in the old days.

1Walking around in the Koishikawa-kourakuen garden of Tokugawa branch family which is diffrent from any other gardens across Japan
This is the oldest Japanese garden in Tokyo and different from any other gardens across Japan. The garden was built in 1629 by Tokugawa Yorifusa who was the 11th son of the first shogun of Edo government, Tokugawa Ieyasu. Tokugawa Yorifusa incorporated the miniature view of the sightseeing spots from Edo (now Tokyo) through Kisoji (now in Nagano prefecture) to Kyoto inside this garden. The garden was enhanced by Tokugawa Yorifusa's son, Mitsukuni with an advice of Zhu Zhiyu, Chinese Confucian scholar, in the middle of 17th century.
