You see and experience - Natural beauty of the Aokigahara forest and a traditional craft village with the nostalgic atmosphere of the Japanese old days.
Aokigahara, the Sea of Trees, stretches over the northwest base of Mt.Fuji. It's a distinctive forest in that trees have grown on the lava plateau. Unique formation of lava and creepy-looking roots spreading over the thin layer of soil have created a mystical and serene atmosphere.
Exploration of the Aokigahara forest includes entering into a distinctive lava cave called "Saiko Bat Cave". It's a habitat of bats during the winter. After a hike, you head for a traditional craft village where traditional Japanese-style houses with a nostalgic atmosphere welcome your visit. Workshops and shops featuring traditional Japanese items are available. So is a rental Kimono!! If the weather permits, you see a breathtaking view of Mt.Fuji at the lakeside on the way.

- Things you need to know before the tour
＊Admission fees for Saiko Bat Cave (300JPY) and Saiko Iyashi no sato (350JPY)
＊Warm jacket - The Aokigahara area is located at the altitude of 900m, so it's much cooler than the other places such as Tokyo and Osaka.
＊Shoes suitable for a hike - Some parts of the trail are bumpy due to its lava-covered ground. Sneakers are recommendable.
＊Food and drinks including lunch (Japanese-style restaurants serving the local speciality called "Hoto noodles" are available at the traditional craft village.)
＊Please book the tour, 2 days in advance.
＊From Tokyo, highway bus is avaliable. Bbooking a round-trip ticket between Shinjuku (Tokyo) and Kawaguchiko station in advance is highly recommendable.
＊Transportation to the meeting point; Catch a Green Line Bus from Kawaguchiko station. Fares are around 1,500jpy in total. Traveling time is approximately 40 minutes. Further information for the transportation will be given after the booking is completed.
＊As an option, the guide’s attendance from Kawaguchiko station is available if it seems confusing for you to catch a Green Line Bus. In this case, the transportation fee for the guide and an extra charge are to be charged on you. The extra charge for the attendance from Kawaguchiko station is 2000jpy.
＊In the event of severe weather conditions, the itinerary may be changed. In this case, the schedule change would be imformed in advance.
1Enter into Saiko Bat Cave (Admission fee/300JPY)
The lava cave is the home of precious bats especially during the winter. Uique geological formations such as ropy lava and lava stalactites can be observed.
2Explore the Aokigahara forest and visit Ryugu Cave and the lakeside of Lake Saiko
After the cave adventure, you stroll in the beautiful forest abundant with natural beauty. It's time for you to enjoy a hike with your five senses fully used and learn about the distinctive vegetation of the forest and its history along the way!
On the way to the lakeshore, you visit Ryugu Cave which was regarded as a sacred place for followers of Mt. Fuji worship.
The lakeside offers you a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji if the weather permits. Serene and peaceful scenery of the Aokigahare area has spread just in front.
3Visit to the traditional craft village "Saiko Iyashi no sato Nenba" and LUNCH time (Admission fee/350JPY)
Enjoy wandering around the site which is dotted with traditional Japanese-style houses with thatched roof!! They have created a nostalgic atmosphere of the old Japanese days. Shops featuer local products and traditional Japanese goods such as pottery and hanging ornaments made of Japanese silk.
Japanese-style restaurants serving the local speciality called "HOTO" noodles" are available. So a rental KIMONO is!!
4Saiko Iyashi no sato Nenba
You catch a Green Line Bus bound for Kawaguchiko station.
