Located in Nishiaizu-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, Torioi Kannon (Nyoho-ji Temple) is counted as one of the Japan Heritage Aizu 33 Kannon. Located at this temple is a Migawari no Nade Buddha (Kongo Rikishi wooden sculpture), which is recognized as an Important Cultural Property of Fukushima Prefecture. Worshipers pray for protection from evil by stroking the Buddha and their own body in the same place.
