In the spirit of friendly competition, the Yatsushiro National Fireworks Competition in Kumamoto prefecture allows pyrotechnics from all over Japan to show off their proficiency in making beautiful explosions. Being the only National Fireworks Competition to be held in western Japan, this particular fireworks festival has 3 different competition categories for things like firework explosion sizes and star mine fireworks which are rapid fire fireworks. There is even a music accompanied firework show, which is something not to be missed! With either paid seats to get an unobstructed view, or a more laid back experience of trying to find a good angle to view the festivities on your own terms, there’s a lot to see at the Yatsushiro National Fireworks Competition. |
