Things to know

Leo Lionni for everyone is an exhibition all about the life and art of Leo Lionni and his journey. Leo Lionni was based in Italy and the USA working in graphic design. He then found a love for creating picture books and went on to publish his first picture book, “Little Blue and Little Yellow”. Each story is told through a creative and new way. Some of the techniques Lionni has used include oil painting, watercolors, and collage. Lionni is famous in Japan for his story, "Swimmy". The exhibition takes visitors through his life journey including his several moves throughout Europe and the United States. There will also be displays to show his passions outside of art, his time as an art director, and how he created a breakthrough for abstract impressionism in picture books for children. © PIA Corporation.
