3331 Arts Chiyoda is an art center in Tokyo, Japan. Based in a renovated school,
it hosts various activities, from contemporary art exhibitions to community programs. As the hub to encounter multiple expressions, the centre brings together artists and local people.
“3331" is the code for a clapping rhythm that originated in the Edo period (1600-1867). The clapping is meant to share happiness and encourage each other in the community.
