Ayabeyama Bairin Plum Forest located in Hyogo prefecture is a famous plum (ume) tree forest found on Mt. Ayabe. With over 7000 plum trees over the side of Mt. Ayabe that overlook the sea, from the red plum season through to the white plum season, the enticing sweet smell of Japanese plums can be smelled drifting around the area.
