HANEDA INNOVATION CITY
Haneda Innovation City, often abbreviated as H.I. City, is large-scale complex facility in Tokyo that was opened in July of 2020. The facility is easily accessible, directly connected to Tenkubashi Station and just one station away from Haneda Airport. There are a number of things visitors can enjoy, including plenty of gourmet, Japanese culture and live events, high-technology and research labs, convention facilities, and more.
Along a pedestrian deck called Innovation Corridor is a food space where visitors can enjoy restaurants that investigate the roots of Japanese food culture as well as local cuisine and alcohol, making it a place where visitors from overseas, of course, but Japanese people too can rediscover the allure of Japanese food. Additionally, there are trees and plants raised in the image of a Japanese teien garden as well as "flower lanterns" that emit seasonal sounds, creating a space where visitors can feel Japanese culture with all of their senses.
On the roof of the facility is the Ashiyu Sky Deck, equipped with foot baths that visitors can use to relax in while gazing up at the airplanes flying to and from Haneda Airport. Also garnering attention at H.I. City is digital art that depicts a virtual contemporary Japan, Japan's first fighter aircraft flight simulator, and other facilities that use the latest technology to allow visitors to experience a modern ambiance.
