Hijiyama Koen Park is located on top of a small hill that overlooks the city of Hiroshima and the Seto Inland Sea. Famous for its cherry blossom viewing around 1300 cherry trees bloom in the springtime attracting many visitors to the park with their vibrant colors and beauty.
Inside the park, you can find the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art built in the image of a traditional Japanese warehouse building called “kura” in Japanese. You can also find the Hiroshima City Manga Library where you can enjoy reading all the manga you like whilst walking through the history of Japanese manga. The park is also famous for being an art park with many other facilities and sculptures places around for your enjoyment. The park is also a popular night view spot so why not check out the sunset after enjoying the art museum etc during the day and have a super relaxing day.
