Kikusui Sake Culture Institute located in Niigata prefecture, famous for its sake, is the perfect place to learn about Japanese Sake and the culture around it.

The institute can be found immersed and in coexistence with nature, hidden away in deep woodlands of Niigata, with only one story to the building, with everything else underground.

The Kikusui Sake Culture Institute carried out not only research and development but it has its own library and archive of data and literature on Sake and food culture in Japan, with other 30,000 publications and also over 30,000 items in the library and exhibitions areas for view. The institute also trains and nurtures master brewers and hosts various events for the expansion and enjoyment of this wonderful Japanese sake culture.

The institute also has a mini-brewery with free samples and also a lovely garden.
