Things to know

Kintaikyo Bridge is a beautiful wooden arch bridge built over the Nishiki River. It is one of the most famous bridges in Japan, characterized by five sequential arches, no example of which can be seen elsewhere. The charm of Kintai Bridge comes from the scenery that surrounds it; one can enjoy a bridge that seems to collaborate with a variety of beautiful views through the four seasons. Additionally, from a ropeway at a location approximately 10 minutes away foot, one can view the castle town of Iwakuni Castle together with the bridge.
