Things to know

A splendid destination for those science enthusiasts, The Miyazaki Science Center, has a plethora of interactive exhibits that appeal to both adults and children. Located in Miyazaki Prefecture, the museum has a full-size model of the Apollo 11 spaceship, Gemini spacecraft and atmospheric experimental pressure device. Even more impressive is upon entering their Cosmoland, “Dr. Cosmo” an animatronic provides visitors with an introduction to the museum. The planetarium found at the science center is also spectacular having once been the largest scale planetarium in the world. The planetarium hosts different programs every month, so be sure to be amazed at the scale and wonder of it's shows! There are plenty of activities for those of all ages.
