Nadagu Shrine located right in the middle of the Nada coastline in Oita prefecture is a Shinto shrine with close connections to the nearby Usa Jingu Shrine. Like Usa Jingu Shrine, Nada is also a Hachiman Shin shrine dedicated to the deified Emperor Ojin who is the tutelary god of warriors. Accordingly, Nadagu Shrine is also known as Hachiman Nadagu or Nada Hachimangu. Although the year this shrine was built is unclear, it is said to have been made shortly after Usa Jingu shrine as an annex shrine. 300 meters out from the coastline are a set of very small islets with one (Ikishima island) being home to a red Torii gate which is one of the features to this Shinto shrine.
