The Narusawa Ice Cave is located at the eastern entrance of the Aokigahara forest and is a popular tourist spot among visitors to the area around Mt. Fuji. Created by the forces of a volcanic eruption more than 1150 years ago, the cave is quite an old destination. It has become relatively well-known throughout the world ever since it was designated a natural monument by the Japanese government.
