Nousaku was founded in 1916 as a company that manufactures metal
castings such as Buddhist altar fittings, Japanese tea utensils, and
flower vases. Challenging stereotypes and changing along with the
times, the company now also manufactures a large number of
contemporary and fashionable products. From standard items used for
everyday life to seasonal items, a wide variety of merchandise is
assembled, suitable for souvenirs for yourself as well as gifts.
This spot is not just for looking at products, though; visitors can also
experience the traditional techniques of artisans by taking part in
factory observation tours. Using the same method as the artisans,
visitors can try their hand at making tin sake cups or other items in a
tin casting workshop. At the Nousaku factory, visitors can also enjoy
lunch using Nousaku tin tableware.
