Yanaka Cemetery

History
Easy Access
Free Admission

Despite being a cemetery, Yanaka Cemetery is special because it hosts the graves of many famous Japanese historical figures, perhaps most famous being the Tokugawa Shogun clan graves, however these aren't open to the public, so please peek through the bars of the fence that closes it off! It is also a beautiful place to visit during the cherry-blossom season in early April, with a part of the cemetery being called "Cherry-blossom Avenue".
