A walking tour to enjoy shopping and local food in Osaka
About the WOW U-mediator leading this tour
Hi my name is Hiromi. I am a wife and mother of two kids. I have been working for tour companies since 2001. When I worked in Tokyo, I went on business trips to more than 40 countries. During my business trips, I had opportunities to explore foreign cultures by meeting and communicating with the locals and I enjoyed it a lot. My trips inspired me to decide to introduce my hometown, Osaka, to foreigners. So I moved back to Osaka with my family and now I am a tour guide of Osaka. So far, I have guided various types of tourists ranging from just married couple to big size family. I can not only guide you around famous tourist attractions in Osaka but also take you to hidden gems in Osaka since I was born and raised in Osaka. Also I can guide you to Kyoto and Nara.
Please visit my tour page for more details. In case of time conflicts with another group of tourists, please check my availability first via email. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

America Mura is a trendy shopping and fashion area just west of Shinsaibashi that has been a mecca for the youth of Osaka since the 80s. The name "America Mura" (literally "America Town") is derived from when people started to sell imported American goods such as vintage clothes and records. It has since become a place for the youth of Osaka to get together and express their unique fashion senses and art etc, with several bars and cafes also popular within the area.Show spot information
Dotonbori Street is a popular shopping area in Osaka known for its bustling atmosphere and its many neon lights at night, including the famous Glico man, a symbol of Osaka. The Dotonbori arcade is perfect for shopping, dining and entertainment. It's not that you can't find the things here anywhere else, it's just that you can't find them condensed in such a lively and packed space anywhere else. It's certainly a distinctively Osaka experience you shouldn't miss out on, unless you really hate crowds.Show spot information
