1Tennoji Temple and other temples
Yanaka is known as a temple town. There are over 60 temples there and each temple has its own charm.
I will show you first Tennoji Temple, an ancient temple in serene atmosphere and then other temples.
Meanwhile I will explain the relationship between Japanese people and religion.
Nezu Shrine is the oldest and biggest shinto shrine in the area.
Most of the buildings were built in the early 18th century.
A tunnel-like, long line of red Torii gates is certainly a popular photo spot.
3local food stores
Yanaka is a foodie paradise of local foods.
We are hopping along small local food stores.
Love art, architecture, ramble-cycling and sushi
Hello My name is Mana, a Tour guide of Tokyo area. I've been in London from 2000-03 to study fine art. Coming back to Japan, I became a tour guide rather than an artist. But I love art, both traditional Japanese art and contemporary art. Visiting art gallery and museum is one of my hobbies. I love architecture, cooking, ramble-cycling (we call it pottering), Japanese anime, especially Ghibli, trees, etc. I am interested in discovering differences between Japan and other countries. I'd love to talk about Japan and also to listen to your stories!!
