Fireworks Tradition and Culture Preservation Museum
Daisen City, Akita Prefecture is widely known as the location of the National Fireworks Festival "Omagari Fireworks, " as well as monthly fireworks shows and the home of the Fireworks Tradition and Culture Preservation Museum (Hanabi・um).
At the permanent exhibition, you can learn more about fireworks while watching, listening, and touching the world's first fireworks. You can also learn about the history of Japanese fireworks development and see realistic models, and powerful images of fireworks. There are also special exhibitions which change depending on the time, such as the award-winning National Fireworks Competition exhibition.
