The Hinoyama Koen Park Tulip Garden is a highlight for flower lovers visiting Yamaguchi Prefecture. The tulip field designs change every year. In 2019 there were 9 different types of tulips arranged in lines and curves, creating a colorful sea of flowers. The garden is named after the Turkish pilot Orhan Suyolcu and is a symbol of Turkish-Japanese friendship. Located on a hill, it provides a scenic view overlooking the strait dividing the Honshu and Kyushu islands.
