Things to know

The Kite Museum in Tokyo, Japan has a collection of more than 3000 kites from the Edo period (1600-1867) to today. The museum was founded by the chef Shingo Modeki and expresses his taste. It is located within the Tameiken restaurant, a Japanese Western-style restaurant with a long history dating back to the pre-war period. The restaurant itself is famous for curry and omelet ('omuraisu').
