Kodai Hasu no Sato is a lotus garden with over 120,000 lotus flowers ranging over 42 different types allowing you to see different types of the lotus flower from all over the world all in the same place. The best time to see the lotus flowers is between the middle of June up until the middle of July where the flowers come to a climax. A type of lotus flower called the Gyoda Lotus flower was found during the building of a burning facility and after some research was found to be an ancient type of lotus flower that is estimated to have existed from around 1,400 to 3,000 years ago. It is said that seeing the flowers in the early morning is the best time. It is recommended to see them between 6:00 am - 8:00 am as the best time, but up until 11:00 am is also fine!
