Miyazakijingu Shrine is a shrine that has been dedicated to the first Japanese emperor. It is designated a National Tangible Cultural Asset. Every year on April 3rd, a horseback archery festival is held called “Yabusame,” where warriors shoot at a target while riding horses, and in late October, you get to celebrate the special Miyazaki Shrine Grand Festival. On the grounds, there is also a “Great White Wisteria” estimated to be more than 400 years old and designated a National Natural Monument.
