Things to know

At Suikobo, you can watch and even try your hand at glassblowing in the workshop area, as well as buy some of the glassworks in the shop area. While the glassblowing experience requires a reservation, if you manage to book in time you can make you own blown glass and windchimes, as well as glass beads and muddlers (cocktail sticks) among many many more! The “Glass blowing experience with Okinoshima Red” allows you to make glass with a special salt taken from the sea around Okinoshima Island that gives the glass a vivid red color can only be experienced at Suikobo.
