At Hirosaki City Apple Park, visitors can experience everything relating to apples. There are a number of hands-on experiences at the park that visitors can try, such as artificial pollination, thinning, fruit picking, and more. Fruit picking runs from early August to early November, and the freshest seasonal varieties are available in the orchards. The park is also a great place to take a leisurely stroll, and visitors can see around 2,300 trees of 80 types of apples throughout the orchards, from common varieties to rare ones. The Ringo no Ie Apple House offers more than 1,200 carefully crafted apple products for purchase, among which the original apple-themed local craftworks are particularly noteworthy. The Apple House also has a café inside where visitors can enjoy an original menu of food and sweets made from apples. In addition, there is also a historic farmhouse within the park, a re-creation of farmhouses from the Edo period (1603-1868). In the farmhouse, there is old farming equipment on display as well as information on influential manufacturers. With a variety of facilities, this park is a great place to have fun while learning about apples.
