Hirosaki Apple Park is a place where you can see, hear, feel, and do everything that has to do with apples. At the production experience park, you can try your hand at artificial pollination, thinning, fruit picking, and more. The park is also a great place to take leisurely strolls. Fruit picking runs from early August to early November, and the freshest seasonal varieties are available in the orchards. There are about 2,300 trees and 80 varieties in total, ranging from popular to rare. “Ringo no ie,” or the “Apple House,”has more than 1,200 carefully-crafted apple products are for sale, and we recommend checking out the local apple-themed craftwork. There’s also a restaurant that includes apple sweets and dishes as well as fresh raw apples. Plus, there’s a historic farmer’s house in the park which was recreated based on farming homes from the Edo period (1603-1868). It includes old farming equipment and information about historic farmers. This is a great place to enjoy learning about apples!
